Location Item No. Interval Item to Check/ Service Procedure Not Fully Mission Capable if: NOTE At idle speed, automatic transmission may not reach normal operating temperature.  Gage may not register until oil is hot. 11 Before Controls and Indicators - Cont. (o)  Check transmission oil temperature gage (23).  Normal operating TRANS TEMP gage reading is between 180 to 220 degrees F (82 to 104 degrees C). Gage is inoperable or  reads over 300 degrees F (149 degrees C). NOTE At idle, engine may not reach 180 degrees F (82 degrees C) water temperature. (p)  Check water temperature gage (24) for proper water temperature range between 180 to 230 degrees F (82 to 110 degrees C). (q)  Check for proper operation of electric horn (25). Water temperature gage inoperable or exceeds 230 degrees F (110 degrees C) at idle or warning buzzer sounds. (r)  Check for proper operation of air horn (26) (if equipped). (s)  Remove wheel chocks.
