Truck Preparation for Air Transport.
Tire assembly is very heavy 500 lb. (227 kg). Do not try to
lift or catch tire assembly. Injury to personnel could result.
NOTE
Unit Maintenance must remove the machine gun mount
prior to air transport.
(1)
Remove spare tire (1) (Para 3-5). Roll tire to back of truck and lay it down
flat with valve stem facing up.
(2)
Remove safety pin (2) and pin (3) from tire davit (4).
