TM 9-2320-364-20-2 2-1796 7.  TRAILER SERVICE BRAKES DO NOT APPLY WHEN HAND CONTROL VALVE IS OPERATED. INITIAL SETUP 1. Are air lines 2663, 2653 and 2661 free from crimps and/or leaks and are fittings, valves and gladhand free of leaks? Replace air lines and/or tighten/replace fittings and/or valves, gladhand (Para 12-11, 12-36, 12-45, 12-46, 12-43 and see schematic Fig 2-43). Verify repair, go to Step 5 of this Fault. START YES NO Nothing. Air lines crimped or leaking   and/or fittings, valves or   gladhand leaking. Hand brake valve faulty. Front double check valve   (middle) faulty. Tractor protection valve faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Visual inspection. Audible inspection. If air lines and/or fittings, valves or gladhand are leaking, loss of air pressure will prevent trailer brakes from operating correctly. 2-24.  BRAKES SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING (CONT).
