TM 9-2320-364-20-2 2-1834 11.  SERVICE BRAKES ON AXLE NO. 3 DO NOT RELEASE (CONT). 4. Does air chamber rod operate correctly? Replace air chamber (Para 12-10).   Verify repair, go to Step 6 of this Fault. YES NO All service brakes on Axles   No. 4 and No. 5 operate   correctly. One set of brakes on Axle   No. 3 fail to release. Air lines OK. Service relay valve No. 2   OK. Air chambers faulty. Brakes faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Operation test. If air chamber rod binds as it travels out of chamber, it will not permit brake to release. WARNING 5. Are the brake shoes and/or wedges free of damage? Replace brake shoes and/or wedges (Para 12-2). Verify repair, go to Step 6 of this Fault. YES NO All service brakes on Axles   No. 4 and No. 5 operate   correctly. One set of brakes on Axle   No. 3 fail to release. Air lines OK. Service relay valve No. 2   OK. Air chambers OK. Brakes faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Visual inspection. If brake components are faulty, they will prevent brakes from releasing.
