TM 9-2320-364-20-2 2-1896 1.  AXLE NO. 3 AIR BAG(S) WILL NOT INFLATE. INITIAL SETUP 1. Does only one air bag fail to inflate? Go to Step 4 of this Fault. START YES NO Air system OK. Air hoses and/or fittings are   faulty. Load sensing valve faulty. Air regulator faulty. Ball valve faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Visual inspection. If only one air bag fails to operate, problem is between load sensing valve and air bag. 2-25.  AXLE NO. 3 AIR BAG TROUBLESHOOTING (CONT). Tools and Special Tools Tool Kit, General Mechanic’s:  Automotive (Item 74, Appendix G) Test Kit, Pressure (Item 50, Appendix G) Personnel Required Two Equipment Condition Engine OFF, (TM 9-2320-364-10) Parking brake ON, (TM 9-2320-364-10) Wheels chocked, (TM 9-2320-364-10) Air system charged, (TM 9-2320-364-10) Load Handling System (LHS) extended fully, (TM 9-2320-364-10) References TM 9-2320-364-10 Materials/Parts Solution, Soap (Item 86, Appendix C) NOTE The following troubleshooting procedures cover the left side air bag.  The same procedures apply to the right side air bag. Use soap solution to inspect for air leaks.
