TM 9-2320-364-20-2      2-1093 (1)   Remove dust cover from DCA connector MC39. (2)   Connect DCA cable W1 to the vehicle test meter (VTM) and DCA connector. (3)   Power-up STE/ICE-R VTM in the DCA mode (TM 9-4910-571-12&P). (4)   Perform a confidence test. (5)   Set TEST SELECT switches to 38. (6)   Start engine (TM 9-2320-364-10). (7)   Perform offset test (TM 9-4910-571-12&P). (8)   Allow engine to run until gage starts to indicate an increase in temperature. (9)   Press and release TEST button. (a) If engine coolant temperature is not between 180F and 230F (82C and 110C), go to Step (10) below. (b) If engine coolant temperature is between 180F and 230F (82C and 110C), perform Steps (11) through (13) below and notify DS Maintenance. (10)   Compare the STE/ICE-R test #38 results to the water temperature gage in the truck cab. (a) If water temperature gage reading is different from the STE/ICE-R test #38 temperature reading, go to Electrical System Troubleshooting (Para 2-20, Fault 5). (b) If water temperature gage reading is equal to the STE/ICE-R test #38 temperature reading, fault not corrected.  Perform Steps (11) through (13) and notify DS Maintenance. (11)   Turn OFF ENGINE switch. (12)   Disconnect DCA cable W1. (13)   Install dust cover on DCA connector MC39. WATER TEMPERATURE GAGE TEST
