TM 9-2320-364-20-2      2-1217 (1)   Open top engine cover (TM 9-2320-364-10). (2)   Disconnect wire 1029 from beacon light. (3)   Set multimeter select switch to volts dc. (4)   Connect positive (+) multimeter lead to wire 1029. (5)   Connect negative (–) multimeter lead to a known good ground. (6)   Turn ON ENGINE switch. (7)   Turn on beacon light switch. (a)   If 10 to 14 vdc are not present, perform Steps (8) through (10) below and go to Step 3 of this Fault. (b)   If 10 to 14 vdc are present, perform Steps (8) through (10) below and go to Step 2 of this Fault. (8)   Turn off beacon light switch. (9)   Turn OFF ENGINE switch. (10)   Connect wire 1029 to beacon light. VOLTAGE TEST Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc.  If jewelry or tools contact positive electrical circuits, a direct short may result.  Damage to equipment, injury or death to personnel may occur.
