TM 9-2320-364-20-2      2-1389 (1)   Disconnect wire 1680 from faulty rear composite light. (2)   Connect positive (+) multimeter lead to wire 1680 from chassis. (3)   Connect negative (–) multimeter lead to a known good ground. (4)   Turn ON ENGINE switch (TM 9-2320-364-10). (a)   If 10 to 14 vdc are not present, turn OFF ENGINE switch and repair wire 1680/24 (see schematic Fig 2-35) or notify DS Maintenance. (b)   If 10 to 14 vdc are present, turn OFF ENGINE switch and replace rear composite light (Para 7-47). (5)   Reconnect wire 1680 to rear composite light. (6)   Install preformed packing and composite light cover and tighten 6 screws. VOLTAGE TEST Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc.  If jewelry or tools contact positive electrical circuits, a direct short may result.  Damage to equipment, injury or death to personnel may occur. (1)   Turn ON ENGINE switch (TM 9-2320-364-10). (2)   Inspect blackout clearance and tail light operation. (a)   If blackout clearance and tail lights do not operate, fault not corrected.  Perform Steps (3) through (5) below and notify DS Maintenance. (b)   If blackout clearance and tail lights operate, fault has been corrected. (3)   Turn off BLACKOUT MARKER lights switch. (4)   Turn off BLACKOUT LIGHTS selector switch. (5)   Turn OFF ENGINE switch. VERIFY REPAIR
