TM 9-2320-364-20-2      2-1437 (1)   Disconnect windshield wiper switch connector. (2)   Connect positive (+) multimeter lead to wire 1118 at windshield wiper switch connector, terminal 4. (3)   Connect negative (–) multimeter lead to a known good ground. (4)   Turn ON ENGINE switch (TM9-2320-364-10) (a)   If 10 to 14 vdc are not present, turn OFF ENGINE switch and repair wire 1118 (see schematic Fig 2-37) or notify DS Maintenance. (b)   If 10 to 14 vdc are present, wire 1118 is OK. (5)   Turn OFF ENGINE switch. (6)   Install windshield wiper switch. VOLTAGE TEST Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc.  If jewelry or tools contact positive electrical circuits, a direct short may result.  Damage to equipment, injury or death to personnel may occur. (1)   Set multimeter select switch to ohms. (2)   Set windshield wiper switch to high position (TM 9-2320-364-10). (3)   Is there continuity between windshield wiper switch, terminals 4 and 2 and 4 and 6? (a)   If there is no continuity, replace windshield wiper switch (Para 7-27). (b)   If there is continuity, go to Step (4) below. (4)   Is there continuity between windshield wiper switch, terminals 6 and 8? (a)   If there is no continuity, replace windshield wiper switch (Para 7-27). (b)   If there is continuity, windshield wiper switch is OK. CONTINUITY TEST
