(1) Open skid plate door.
(2) Check cable at transfer case shift
lever under cab.
(3) Check transfer case shift cable for
crimps and breaks.
(4) Check shift cable brackets, jam nuts,
and washers for wear or damage.
(5) Check shift cable yoke, rod end, yoke
pin, and cotter pin for wear
or damage.
(a) If any of the components listed in
Steps (2) through (5) are
damaged, replace damaged
transfer case, (Para 9-6).
(b) If none of the components listed in
Steps (2) through (5) are
damaged, go to Step 2 of this
Fault.
