TM 9-2320-364-20-2 2-872      7.  CODE 23:  SHIFT SELECTOR (CONT). 2. Repair wire(s) 230 and/or 234 (see schematic Fig 2-20) or notify DS Maintenance.   Verify repair, go to Step 7 of this Fault. YES NO “CHECK TRANS” light ON. Restricted gear shifts. Torque converter lockup clutch   unlocked. Transmission does not shift   properly or stays in N   (Neutral). Wire 210A is OK. Ground wire 230/234 to   electrical control box faulty. Short/open in ATEC ECU wire   harness. Short/open in control box wire   harness. Shift selector faulty. Transmission ECu faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Continuity test. STE/ICE-R #91. If ground is faulty, shift selector keypad will not operate correctly.  ATEC will register a code 23 fault. WARNING Is continuity measured on wires 230 and 234 between connector MC12, terminals 10 and 14 and a known good ground? Read   WARNING on Page 2-873
