TM 9-2320-364-20-2 2-1768 3.  PARKING BRAKES ON AXLES NO. 4 AND NO. 5 DO NOT RELEASE (CONT). Brakes on Axle No. 3 operate   correctly. All brakes on Axles No. 4 and   No. 5 fail to release. Air lines and fittings OK. Relay spring valve No. 2 OK. Air chambers OK. Brakes faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Visual inspection. If brake components are faulty, they will prevent brakes from releasing. YES NO Replace brake shoes and/or wedges (Para 12-2).   Verify repair, go to Step 6 of this Fault. 5. Are brake shoes and wedges free of damage? 4. Does air chamber operate correctly? Replace air chamber (Para 12-10).   Verify repair, go to Step 6 of this Fault. YES NO Brakes on Axle No. 3 operate   correctly. All brakes on Axles No. 4 and   No. 5 fail to release. Air lines and fittings OK. Relay spring valve No. 2 OK. Air chambers faulty. Brakes faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Operation test. If air chamber rods bind as they travel out of chambers, they will not permit parking brake to release.
