TM 9-2320-364-20-2 2-1774 4.  PARKING BRAKES ON AXLES NO. 3 THROUGH NO. 5 DO NOT APPLY (CONT). Air lines OK. Dash manifold valve OK. Spring brake valve faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Spring brake valve test. If spring brake valve fails closed after the parking brakes are released, air hoses between spring brake valve and relay spring valves will not exhaust air.  This will cause relay spring valves to remain actuated and release brakes. YES NO Replace spring brake valve (Para 12-18). Verify repair, go to Step 4 of this Fault. 3. Does spring brake valve operate correctly? 2. Does dash manifold valve operate correctly? Replace dash manifold valve (Para 12-37). Verify repair, go to Step 4 of this Fault. YES NO Air lines OK. Dash manifold valve faulty. Spring brake valve faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Dash manifold valve test. If parking brake control valve in dash manifold valve fails opened (pushed), air hoses between the manifold valve and the relay spring valves will not exhaust air.  This will cause relay spring valves to remain actuated and release brakes.
