TM 9-2320-364-20-3 2-2950 1.  TRUCK IS HARD TO STEER (CONT). Truck hard to steer at greater   than and less than 25 mph. Power steering oil level OK. Power steering oil hoses and   fittings OK. 90 gear box OK. Steering shafts OK. U-joints and shaft bearing OK. Gear box steering shaft OK. Axle No. 5 steering shaft OK. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Verify repair. If truck is not hard to steer, fault has been corrected. YES NO Fault not corrected. Notify DS Maintenance. 7. Does truck steer correctly? Fault corrected. 6. Replace gear box steering shaft and/or axle No. 5 steering shaft (Para 14-9 and 14-10).   Verify repair, go to Step 7 or this Fault. YES NO Truck hard to steer at greater   than and less than 25 mph. Power steering oil level OK. Power steering oil hoses and   fittings OK. 90 gear box OK. Steering shafts OK. U-joints and shaft bearing OK. Gear box steering shaft faulty. Axle No. 5 steering shaft faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Visual inspection. If the gear box or Axle No. 5 steering shafts are damaged, truck steering will be hard. Are gear box and axle No. 5 steering shafts free of damage?
