TM 9-2320-364-20-4 2-3164 4.  CHU MODE SWITCH INOPERATIVE (LIFTING FRAME CONTACTS REAR ROLLERS). INITIAL SETUP 1. START YES NO CHU jumper wire harness OK. Mode switch out of   adjustment. Mode switch faulty. CHU wire harness faulty. CHU control box faulty. Wire 1495 faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION 2-38. CHU TROUBLESHOOTING (CONT) Tools and Special Tools Tool Kit, General Mechanic’s:  Automotive (Item 74, Appendix G) Multimeter (Item 44, Appendix G) Equipment Condition Engine OFF, (TM 9-2320-364-10) Parking brake applied, (TM 9-2320-364-10) Wheels chocked, (TM 9-2320-364-10) Is mode switch properly adjusted? Adjust mode switch (Para 21-25).  Verify repair, go to Step 6 of this Fault. Visual inspection. Mode switch activates transit lock interlock circuit and switches LHS system to use hook arm up proximity switch for the CHU. Faults in this cir- cuit will cause interlock function not to operate and hook arm cylinders to extend too far.
