LHS operates in MAN MF   position. Proximity switch (hook arm up)   not adjusted correctly. LED of proximity switch not   illuminated. Wire 1466B of wire harness is   faulty. Wire 1466B is faulty. Proximity switch is faulty. Wire 1465 is faulty. Wire 1435 is faulty. Wire 1495 is faulty. Wire 1496 is faulty. Relay R52 faulty. Relay R51 faulty. Wire 1474 of wire harness is   faulty. Wire 1474 is faulty. Wire 1472 is faulty. Wire 1435 of wire harness is   faulty. Wire 1435 is faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION 2-38. CHU TROUBLESHOOTING (CONT) Tools and Special Tools Tool Kit, General Mechanic’s:  Automotive (Item 74, Appendix G) Multimeter (Item 44, Appendix G) Equipment Condition Engine OFF, (TM 9-2320-364-10) Parking brake applied, (TM 9-2320-364-10) Wheels chocked, (TM 9-2320-364-10) PLS is in container mode, (TM 9-2320-364-10) Is proximity switch properly adjusted? Adjust proximity switch (Para 21-24). Verify repair, go to Step 17 of this Fault. Proximity switch clearance test. The proximity switch is used to control the length of the hook arm hydraulic cylinder extension in CHU mode. If the clearance is excessive, the switch will not sense the presence of sensing plate at the proper extension.
