TM 9-2320-364-20-4 2-3004 3.  INTERAXLE FRONT TO REAR LOCKUP WILL NOT ENGAGE WITH CTIS IN MUD, SAND AND SNOW. INITIAL SETUP 1. Tighten loose fittings, repair or replace air lines (Para 12-36 and schematic Fig 2-73). Verify repair, go to Step 10 of this Fault. START YES NO Dash lights operate indicating   circuit breaker CB8 OK. Horn operates indicating circuit   breaker CB16 OK. Air system OK indicating air   input to interaxle lockup   solenoid valve. Interaxle lockup cylinder hoses   and/or fittings leaking or   crimped. Interaxle lockup solenoid valve   faulty. Wire 1435 faulty. Interaxle lockup solenoid faulty. Wire 1882 faulty. Wire 1888 faulty. Wire 1884 faulty. CTIS controller faulty. INTERAXLE relay R20 faulty. Wire 1889 faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Visual inspection. If interaxle lockup cylinder air lines are loose or disconnected, cylinders will not operate due to loss of air pressure. 2-33.  AXLES TROUBLESHOOTING (CONT). Tools and Special Tools Tool Kit, General Mechanic’s:  Automotive (Item 74, Appendix G) STE/ICE-R (Optional) (Item 3, Appendix G) Multimeter (Item 44, Appendix G) Equipment Condition Engine OFF, (TM 9-2320-364-10) Parking brake applied, (TM 9-2320-364-10) Wheels chocked, (TM 9-2320-364-10) References TM 9-2320-364-10 TM 9-4910-571-12&P Materials/Parts Adhesive (Item 9, Appendix C) Solution, Soap (Item 86, Appendix C) Are interaxle lockup cylinder air lines free of damage, leaks, crimps, and are fittings free of leaks?
