Removal. Skid plate crossmember weighs 55 lbs (25 kg).  Attach suitable lifting device prior to removal to prevent possible injury to personnel. NOTE Perform Step (1) if truck is equipped with self-recovery winch.  Otherwise, go to Step (2). (1) Remove three locknuts (1) and screws (2) from front self-recovery winch guide (3).  Discard locknuts.
