ASSEMBLY REPAIR (CONT).
Use care when removing snap
and retaining rings. Snap and
retaining rings are under spring
tension and can act as projectiles
when released and could cause
severe eye injury.

Remove retaining ring (8) and ring support
(9) from short strut (3).
(5)
Remove short strut (3) and spacer (10) from
pin bracket (11).
(6)
Remove four screws (12) and pin bracket
(11) from arm assembly (13).

Disassembly.
NOTE
Perform Steps (1) through (5)
only if components are damaged.
(1)
Remove screw (1), washer (2), washer (3)
and spring (4) from short strut (5).
(2)
Remove grease fitting (6) from short strut
(5).
(3)
Remove retaining ring (7), spacer (8) and
bearing (9) from short strut (5).
