Adjustment. NOTE Toe in adjustment procedures must be preformed with the truck in an unloaded condition or adjustment procedures will not be accurate. Before truck comes to a stop, ensure that the wheels are straight.  Do not turn wheels after truck has come to a stop.  Turning steering wheel after truck stops will affect accuracy of measurements. Axle No. 5 is shown.  Axles No. 1 and No. 2 are adjusted in the same way. (1) Using hydraulic jack, raise Axle No. 5 (1) off of ground so tires (2) have one in. (25.4 mm) of clearance from floor.  Place jackstands under walking beam. NOTE Perform Step (2) if adjusting toe-in on Axle No. 5.  If not, go to Step (3). (2) Hook mud flaps (3) in the upward position.
