When removing transfer case, ensure transfer case does not contact other parts of truck.
Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.
NOTE
Transfer case must be on its side to be removed.

With the aid of an assistant, lower transfer case (17) and remove from truck (35).

Installation.
Transfer case weighs 1500 lbs (681 kg). Attach suitable lifting device prior to installation to
prevent possible injury to personnel.

With the aid of an assistant, position transfer case (17) under truck (35) and attach lifting device.
(2)
With the aid of an assistant, raise transfer case (17) into position on truck (35).
