TM 9-2320-364-34-3      13-7 NOTE If truck is equipped with a self- recovery winch, only remove five screws and locknuts in Step (2). (2) Remove seven locknuts (1), two screws (6), screws (7), three screws (8) and right tow eye (5) from frame (9).  Discard locknuts. (3) Remove seven locknuts (1), two screws (10), screws (11), screws (12) and screw (13) from left tow eye (4) and frame (14). Discard locknuts. Do not loosen locknuts more than one full turn.  Failure to do so may cause steering gear to fall and cause injury or death to personnel. NOTE Loosening two nuts on steering gear mounting bracket is to relieve tension on left tow eye.
