18-14. CONVERT DDEC II ENGINE ASSEMBLY TO DDEC III ENGINE ASSEMBLY

Fuel is very flammable and can explode easily. To avoid serious injury or death, keep fuel
away from open fire and keep fire extinguisher within easy reach when working with fuel.
Do not work on fuel system when engine is hot. Fuel can be ignited by hot engine.

on fuel filter head (140).

Remove elbow (139) from fuel filter head (140).
NOTE
Note position and location of tee
prior to removal.

Remove hose (141) from tee (142) on fuel
pump (143).

Remove fuel temperature sensor (124)
from tee (142).

Remove tee (142) from fuel pipe bushing
(144). Discard tee.

Remove pipe bushing (144) from fuel
pump (143). Discard pipe bushing.
