Installation.
(1)
Install vibration damper shaft (38) on
gear (39) with three lockwashers (37) and
screws (36). Tighten screws 15 to 19 lb-ft
(20 to 26 N.m).
NOTE
Perform Step (2) only if
removed.
(2)
Install two dowels (35), to heights of 3/16 in.
to 1/4 in. (4.8 to 6.4 mm) above cover (10).
(3)
Position oil seal (34) with seal lip pointing
toward inner side of cover (10).
(4)
Using oil seal installer, install oil seal (34).
Coat lip of seal with grease.
