Driving Up Moderate to Steep Grades.
(1)
Check that the CTIS rotary selector switch (1) and transfer case shift
lever (2) setting matches terrain conditions (Para 2-24) and refer to
Table 1-28.
Do not engage transfer case lockup while wheels are slipping
or when turning a corner. Damage to driveline may result.
(2)
Engage TRANSFER CASE LOCK-UP (3) on approaching the grade and
decelerate for approximately two seconds to allow TRANSFER CASE
LOCKUP to engage.
