2-32. PREPARING PLS TRUCK FOR CONTAINER MODE.
a.
Preparation for Container Mode.
Check for overhead power lines or other obstructions before
attempting CHU operations. LHS reaches a height of 18 ft.
(5.5 m). Injury or death could result if LHS contacts power
lines.
Ensure engine is OFF and truck parking brake is ON before
preparing PLS truck for container mode. Failure to comply may
result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
There are two straps and flipper lock assemblies on lifting
frame. Left side is shown.
(1)
Remove strap (1) from rod on front support assembly (2).
(2)
Stow strap (1) on lifting frame (3) stowbar.
