(1) Disconnect transmission connector
MC19 at transmission bulkhead
connector.
(2) Connect breakout harness
transmission end connector to
transmission bulkhead connector.
(3) Set multimeter select switch to ohms.
(4) Read resistance between terminals A
and P of breakout harness.
(a) If 5K to 130K ohms resistance are
not present, wiring inside
transmission or temperature
sensor is faulty. Notify
DS Maintenance.
(b) If 5K to 130K ohms resistance are
present, wiring inside
transmission and temperature
sensor is OK.
RESISTANCE TEST
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact positive electrical
circuits, a direct short may result. Damage to equipment, injury or death to personnel may occur.
