TM 9-2320-364-20-2 2-1072 1.  ENGINE OVERHEATS (WATER TEMP GAGE CONTINUOUSLY READS OVER 230F (110C)). INITIAL SETUP 1. Tighten clamps or replace damaged hoses or clamps (Para 6-8). Verify repair, go to Step 11 of this Fault. START YES NO Nothing. Leaky coolant hoses or loose   clamps. Radiator cooling fins clogged. Fan does not operate at low   speed. Fan does not operate at high   speed. Water temperature gage faulty. Cooling assembly faulty. Thermostat(s) faulty. Water temperature switch faulty. Water temperature sensor   faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Visual inspection. Leaking or damaged coolant hoses may cause low coolant level and lead to engine overheating. 2-17.  COOLING SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING (CONT).
