TM 9-2320-364-20-2
2-1087
(1) Disconnect connector MC59
from EPAC.
(2) Set multimeter select switch to ohms.
(3) Start engine and run at idle speed
(TM 9-2320-364-10). It is normal for
fan to operate at high speed with
connector MC59 disconnected.
(4) Measure resistance at connector
MC59 between terminals A and B.
(a) If resistance is not within range at
specified temperature shown in
Table 2-36, turn OFF ENGINE
switch and replace STE-ICE
water temperature sensor
(Para 7-64).
(b) If resistance is within range at
specified temperature shown in
Table 2-36, temperature sensor is
OK.
(5) Turn OFF ENGINE switch.
(6) Connect connector MC59 to EPAC.
RESISTANCE TEST
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact positive electrical
circuits, a direct short may result. Damage to equipment, injury or death to personnel may occur.
Use STE/ICE-R #91 to monitor coolant
temperature.
