(1) Set multimeter select switch to ohms.
(2) Is there continuity on wire 1435
between reverse alarm and a known
good ground?
(a) If there is no continuity measured,
repair wire 1435 (see schematic
Fig 2-33) or notify DS
Maintenance.
(b) If there is continuity measured,
replace reverse alarm (Para 7-86).
CONTINUITY TEST
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact positive electrical
circuits, a direct short may result. Damage to equipment, injury or death to personnel may occur.
(1) Turn ON ENGINE switch
(TM 9-2320-364-10).
(2) Place shift selector in R (Reverse).
(a) If reverse alarm does not operate,
fault not corrected. Turn OFF
ENGINE switch and notify DS
Maintenance.
(b) If reverse alarm operates, fault
has been corrected.
(3) Turn OFF ENGINE switch.
VERIFY REPAIR
