(1) Remove four screws and side
marker light.
(2) Disconnect wire 1012 from side marker
light.
(3) Set multimeter select switch to ohms.
(4) Is there continuity between light
socket ground contact and a known
good ground?
(a) If there is no continuity, clean and
reground side marker light.
(b) If there is continuity, side marker
light ground is OK.
(5) Is there continuity between socket
power contact of light socket and
marker light lead?
(a) If there is no continuity, replace
side marker light (Para 7-54).
(b) If there is continuity, side marker
light is OK.
(6) Connect wire 1012 to side
marker light.
(7) Install four screws and side
marker light.
(8) Install lamp, lens and two screws.
CONTINUITY TEST
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact positive electrical
circuits, a direct short may result. Damage to equipment, injury or death to personnel may occur.
