TM 9-2320-364-20-2      2-1373 (1)   Loosen six screws and remove rear composite light cover and preformed packing.  Discard preformed packing. (2)   Open blackout lamp door on blackout brake lamp. (3)   Push in blackout brake lamp base screw and rotate counterclockwise.  Remove blackout brake lamp from composite light housing. (4)   Set multimeter select switch to volts dc. (5)   Connect positive (+) multimeter lead to socket power contact of blackout stoplight lamp socket. (6)   Connect negative (–) multimeter lead to a known good ground. (7)   Turn ON ENGINE switch (TM 9-2320-364-10). (8)   While assistant applies brake pedal, observe multimeter. (a) If 10 to 14 vdc are not present, perform Steps (9) through (13) below and go to Step 3 of this Fault. (b) If 10 to 14 vdc are present, perform Steps (9) and (10) below and go to Step 4 of this Fault. (9)   Release brake pedal. (10)   Turn OFF ENGINE switch. (11)   Install blackout brake lamp in composite light housing. Push in blackout brake lamp base screw and rotate clockwise. (12)   Close cover on blackout brake lamp. (13)   Install rear composite light cover, preformed packing and six screws. VOLTAGE TEST Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc.  If jewelry or tools contact positive electrical circuits, a direct short may result.  Damage to equipment, injury or death to personnel may occur.
