TM 9-2320-364-20-2 2-1384 26.  REAR BLACKOUT CLEARANCE OR TAILLIGHT DOES NOT OPERATE (CONT). 10 to 14 vdc present to blackout   clearance light lamp socket. Blackout clearance light faulty. Blackout clearance light lamp   faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Continuity test. STE/ICE-R #91. Blackout clearance light will not operate if outer contact of socket is not grounded. YES NO Replace blackout clearance light (Para 7-53).   Verify repair, go to Step 9 of this Fault. 4. Is continuity measured between outer contact of faulty blackout clearance light socket and a known good ground? Replace blackout clearance light lamp (Para 7-53).   Verify repair, go to Step 9 of this Fault. WARNING Blackout taillights operate   indicating 10 to 14 vdc are   present to wire 1680. Blackout clearance light lamp   grounded. Wire 1680 between clearance   light splice and clearance   light faulty. Blackout clearance light faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Voltage test. STE/ICE-R #89. If 10 to 14 vdc are not measured, blackout clearance light will not operate. YES NO Repair wire 1680 (see schematic Fig 2-35) or notify DS Maintenance.   Verify repair, go to Step 9 of this Fault. 5. Are 10 to 14 vdc measured on wire 1680 at blackout clearance light? Replace blackout clearance light (Para 7-51).   Verify repair, go to Step 9 of this Fault. WARNING Read WARNING on Page 2-1385 Read WARNING on Page 2-1385
