(1) Remove horn button.
(2) Set multimeter select switch to ohms.
(3) Is continuity measured between tang
and cancel ring?
(4) Squeeze horn button.
(a) If there is no continuity, replace
horn button (Para 14-4).
(b) If there is continuity, horn button
is OK.
CONTINUITY TEST
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags,
bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact
positive electrical circuits, a direct short
may result. Damage to equipment, injury or
death to personnel may occur.
Is continuity measured between nut and a
known good ground?
(1) If there is no continuity, repair
wire 1435 (see schematic
Fig 2-36) or notify DS
Maintenance.
(2) If there is continuity, wire 1435 is
OK.
