(1) Remove eight screws and heater
compartment access panel.
(2) Tag, mark and remove wires from
FAN control switch.
(3) Set multimeter select switch to ohms.
(4) Is there continuity across terminals B
and L with FAN control switch in
L (low), across B and M with FAN
control switch in M (medium) and
across B and H with FAN control
switch in H (high)?
(a) If there is no continuity across all
terminals, replace FAN control
switch (Para 19-17).
(b) If there is continuity across all
terminals, FAN control switch
is OK.
CONTINUITY TEST
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact positive electrical
circuits, a direct short may result. Damage to equipment, injury or death to personnel may occur.
