(1) Disconnect connector MC22 from
voltage regulator.
(2) Connect positive (+) multimeter lead
to socket in position 3 on connector
MC22.
(3) Connect negative (–) multimeter lead
to known good ground.
(4) Turn ON ENGINE switch.
(a) If 22-28 vdc are not present, repair
brown wire (see schematic
Fig 2-39).
(b) If 22-28 vdc are present, brown
wire is OK.
(5) Turn OFF ENGINE switch.
(6) Connect connector MC22.
VOLTAGE TEST
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact positive electrical
circuits, a direct short may result. Damage to equipment, injury or death to personnel may occur.
