(1) Set multimeter select switch to ohms.
(2) Is there continuity between each side
of the fusible link located on the 24 volt
terminal of the alternator?
(a) If there is no continuity replace
fusible link (Para 7-3).
(b) If there is continuity, fusible link
is OK.
CONTINUITY TEST
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry or tools contact positive electrical
circuits, a direct short may result. Damage to equipment, injury or death to personnel may occur.
