(1) Place drain pan under transfer case
oil level pipe plug.
(2) Remove pipe plug.
(3) Check oil for correct level
(Para 2-9).
(a) Add oil as required (Para 9-2).
(b) If oil level is OK, go to Step (4)
below.
(4) Apply thread sealing compound to
pipe plug and install in transfer case.
VISUAL INSPECTION
Adhesives, solvents, and sealing compounds can burn easily, can give off harmful vapors, and are
harmful to skin and clothing. To avoid injury or death, keep away from open fire and use in a well-
ventilated area. If adhesive, solvent, or sealing compound gets on skin or clothing, wash immediately
with soap and water.
