(1) Start engine and build pressure
to 125 4 psi (861 28 kPa)
(TM 9-2320-364-10).
(2) Turn OFF ENGINE switch.
(3) Apply PARKING BRAKE.
(4) Check fittings and air lines 2368,
2369, 2138, 2139, 2140 and 2141 for
crimping and/or leaks (see schematic
Fig 2-46).
(a) If there are crimps or leaks,
perform Step (5) below and
replace air lines and/or
tighten/replace fittings
(Para 12-36).
(b) If there are no crimps or leaks,
air lines and fittings are OK.
Perform Steps (5) and (6) below.
(5) Release PARKING BRAKE.
(6) Check relay spring valve No.2, air
chamber fittings and air lines 2368,
2369, 2138, 2139, 2140 and 2141 for
leaks (see schematic Fig 2-46).
(a) If the relay spring valve
No. 2 leaks, replace valve
(Para 12-17).
(b) If the air chamber leaks,
replace air chamber (Para 12-10).
(c) If air lines or fittings leak, replace
air lines and/or tighten/replace
fittings (Para 12-36).
(d) If there are no leaks, go to Step 3

VISUAL/AUDIBLE INSPECTION
Wear safety goggles when performing leakage tests on valves. Failure to do so may result in serious eye
injury due to high pressure air.
