TM 9-2320-364-20-3 2-2948 1.  TRUCK IS HARD TO STEER (CONT). 5. Replace or lubricate steering shafts, U- joints, and/or tie-rods (Para 2-9, 14-8, 14-10, and 14-11). Verify repair, go to Step 7 of this Fault. YES NO Truck hard to steer at greater   than and less than 25   mph. Low power steering oil level OK. Power steering oil hoses and   fittings OK. 90 gear box OK. Steering shafts faulty. U-joints and/or shaft bearing   faulty. Gear box steering shaft faulty. Axle No. 5 steering shaft faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Visual inspection. If steering shafts, U-joints and/or tie-rods are damaged or not properly lubricated, truck steering will be hard. WARNING Are steering shafts, U-joints and/or tie-rods free of damage and properly lubricated? Read   WARNING on Page 2-2949
