The steering hydraulic system
operates at oil pressures up to
3,000 psi (20,685 kPa). Never
disconnect any hydraulic line or
fitting without first dropping
pressure to zero. Failure to
comply may result in serious
injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Position drain pan under hoses.

Disconnect flow meter from hose 2301 (4)
and fitting (5).
(8)
Remove preformed packing (6) from
fitting (5). Discard preformed packing.
(9)
Apply lubricating oil to preformed
packing (6).
(10)
Position preformed packing (6) on
fitting (5).
(11)
Connect hose 2301 (4) to fitting (5) on
front steering gear (7).
(12)
Check steering oil level and add oil as
necessary.
(13)
Close front access cover (8).

Follow-On Maintenance:
Remove wheel chocks, (TM 9-2320-364-10).
