8-3. TRANSFER CASE ASSEMBLY SUPPORT REPLACEMENT (CONT).
(e)
Remove three front screws (8) and
washers (9) from transfer case (1) and
support bracket (7).
(f)
Remove support bracket (7) from
transfer case (1) and two upper
mounts (10).
(g)
Remove two upper mounts (10) from
two frame brackets (11).
NOTE
If frame brackets are bent, cracked, or have other damage, perform Steps (h) and (i). If
frame brackets are not damaged, go on to Step (2).
(h)
With the aid of an assistant, remove four locknuts (12), front frame bracket (11), two screws (13)
and screws (14) from frame (15). Discard locknuts.
