Use care when installing
retaining rings. Retaining rings
are under tension and can act as
projectiles when released causing
injury to personnel.
NOTE
Holes in gear must face spline
end of shaft.

Install retaining ring (24), key (23), gear (22)
and retaining ring (21) on shaft (25).
(7)
Apply hydraulic oil to preformed
packing (18).
(8)
Install preformed packing (18) in
housing (19).
(9)
Install housing (19) on access cover (17).
