Materials/Parts - Continued Sealing Compound (Item 56, Appendix B) Locknut (Item 175, Appendix E) a. Removal. Main cylinder weighs 325 lbs (148 kg).  Attach suitable lifting device prior removal to prevent possible injury to personnel. Use care when removing retaining rings.  Retaining rings are under tension and can act as projectiles when released and could cause severe eye injury. (1) Attach lifting device to main cylinder (1). (2) With the aid of an assistant, support main cylinder (1) using lifting device and remove retaining ring (2), shim (3) and pivot pin (4) from middle frame (5) and cylinder (1).
