20-41. ENGINE OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR REMOVAL.
a.
Removal.
(1)
Position engine block in stand with bottom facing up.
(2)
Using puller, remove oil pump drive gear (1) from crankshaft (2).
(3)
Remove spacer (3) and key (4) from crankshaft (2). Discard key.
b.
Follow-On Maintenance:
Inspect engine oil pump drive gear, (Para 20-59).
Remove main bearing and crankshaft, (Para 20-42).
