24-9. TRANSFER CASE DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLY REPAIR.
a.
Disassembly.
Planetary differential assembly
weighs 160 lbs (73 kg). Use
suitable lifting device to prevent
possible injury to personnel.
(1)
Attach lifting eyes and lifting device to
differential case (1) and position on clean,
level surface.
(2)
Remove lifting device, two lifting eyes, ten
screws (2) and taper dowels (3) from
differential case (1).
(3)
Remove bearing (4) from planetary
carrier (5).
