2-11. TRAILER CONNECT/DISCONNECT TO VEHICLE OTHER THAN PLS (CONT).

Place drawbar ring (5) in coupler (1) and push coupler latch (6) down until it is latched in place.

Install cotter pin (7) in coupler (1) and slightly bend cotter pin.

If applicable, remove covers (8) and connect service air gladhand (9) to service gladhand (10) on vehicle
and connect emergency air gladhand (11) to emergency air gladhand (12) on vehicle.
Both the 12 volt (7-pin) and 24 volt (12-pin) cables must not be connected at the same time.
Only one cable can be hooked up during operation or damage to equipment will result.
NOTE
S The 12 volt cable is standard for this trailer. Use the 24 volt system cable only when the
12 volt cable cannot be used or blackout lights are used.
S Cables are located in the stowage box.
S Perform Step (11) when connecting 12 vdc cable on either drawbar assembly.
S Perform Step (11) when connecting 24 vdc cable on trailer without drawbar extension.
S Perform Step (12) when connecting 24 vdc cable if equipped with drawbar extension.

Remove cover (13) from proper receptacle (14) on trailer and connect cable (15) to receptacle (14).

Remove cover (16) and connect cable (15) to receptacle (17).
(13)
Connect cable (15) to receptacle (18) on vehicle.
(14)
Attach electrical cable brackets (19) to hooks (20) on drawbar.
