Trailer wheels must be chocked or drawbar connected to truck before coupling trailer
gladhands to truck. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
If locks do not retract, recharge the air system by performing Steps (5) through (11).

Refer to Para 2-20 and chock trailer tires.
(6)
Couple emergency trailer brake line (3) to
truck.
(7)
Push in trailer air supply knob (4) in cab of
truck.
(8)
With truck engine running allow three to
five minutes to recharge air system.
