Ensure slide handle or air wrench and socket are held securely in place while lowering
spare tire. Failure to comply may result in injury to personnel and/or damage to
equipment.
Wear hearing protection when lowering spare tire. Injury to personnel may result.
Ensure safety latch is held in release position until spare tire is lowered to ground. If safety
latch is not held in release position, spare tire will not lower to ground.

Pull safety latch cable (5) to UNLOCK
position and turning winch bolt assembly (6)
counterclockwise, lower spare tire (7)
approx four in. (10 cm) from spare tire
bracket (8).
Ensure all personnel wear
protective gloves when handling
cable. Cable may fray and injury
to personnel may result.
