TM 9-2320-364-20-4 2-2982 2.  DIFFERENTIAL SIDE TO SIDE LOCKUP WILL NOT ENGAGE WITH CTIS IN EMERGENCY WITH TRANSFER CASE IN LOW. INITIAL SETUP 1. Are differential lockup cylinder air lines free of damage, crimps or leaks and are fittings free of leaks? Replace air lines (Para 12-36) and schematic Fig 2-73). Verify repair, go to Step 16 of this Fault. START YES NO Dash lights operate indicating   circuit breaker CB8 OK. Horn operates indicting circuit   breaker CB16 OK. Air lines and/or fittings faulty. Differential lockup solenoid   valve faulty. Wire 1435 faulty. Differential lockup solenoid   faulty. Wire 1882 faulty. Wire 1888 faulty. Wire 1885 faulty. CTIS controller faulty. Wire 1435 faulty. HI RANGE LOCKOUT relay   R23 faulty. Wire 1885 faulty. Wire 1890 faulty. DIFF LOCK relay R21 faulty. Wire 1093 faulty. Start switch S 13 faulty. Wire 1095 faulty. KNOWN INFO POSSIBLE PROBLEMS TEST OPTIONS REASON FOR QUESTION Visual inspection. Audible inspection. If differential lockup cylinder air lines or fittings are loose or damaged, cylinders will not operate due to loss of air pressure. 2-33.  AXLES TROUBLESHOOTING (CONT).
